Volunteer Community Transport driver positions available
We are on the hunt for some passionate volunteer drivers and assistants to lend a helping hand (and impeccable driving skills!) with our community transport team across our Western NSW services. Volunteering with LiveBetter can not only be rewarding, but a great way to meet new people, share your skills and make a difference to other people’s lives.
We are currently seeking friendly, sociable volunteers to transport and assist customers to appointments, group social outings, shopping and general travel.
For individual transport:
- Be available during the working week – the number of days you work is up to you!
- Provide transport to customers to get to medical appointments, the shops and social outings
- Willing to travel to surrounding areas if needed
- Longer trips to larger centres if that’s what you like.
For group social outings:
- Drive or be an assistant for day social outings including bingo, barefoot bowls, lunch outings and other activities
- Be comfortable assisting customers in and out of the vehicle, including sometimes using wheelchair hoists.
For general travel:
- Be available during the working week – the number of days you work is up to you!
- Provide transport to customers to get to medical appointments, the shops and social outings
- Willing to travel to surrounding areas when needed.
A current C Class licence and a willingness to drive a van that seats up to ten people is required. An LR licence is desirable, but not essential.
