What is Social and Community Participation?
Social and Community Participation is all about helping people living with disability to connect with their community and participate in activities that are meaningful to them.
Depending on what works best for you, we might support you individually or you could join a group either at one of our centres or in the community.
Try new things in a supported environment
You’ll have the chance to take part in a wide range of activities that reflect your interests.
It could be joining a sports club, attending a craft or cooking class, gaining work experience or simply meeting friends for coffee.
We’ll work with you to create a mix of supports that encourage and help you to:
- socialise with your peers
- build relationships
- increase your skills, capacity and confidence
- be part of the community

Funding for Social and Community Participation Services
