With our support, you can build the skills and confidence to make your move from school to employment. This is perfect for you if you’re not quite ready to start looking for a job right away. Or perhaps you need help to discover your potential and understand the right sort of job for you. 

Supports are personalised to suit you. As well as learning skills for employment, you’ll be able to set goals and ambitions for your future. You’ll build motivation and confidence. And you can also gain nationally recognised qualifications.

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) is a great first step to your future success. With our support, you can:

• find work and on-the-job experience straight away
• increase your confidence and motivation
• get involved with your local community
• figure out your goals and ambitions you want to aim for
• do something fun and meaningful.

This is the right support for you and your family if you’re not sure what you want to do after school or what opportunities are out there for you. It’s a terrific way to gain skills that will help you get and keep a job and get involved in your local community.

Who’s eligible?

You could be able to get this support if you’re 17 years old and in your last year of school, or you finished school within the last 2 years.
