LiveBetter’s All Abilities touch football teams battle it out at Bathurst’s Carrington Park!
For the past five years, LiveBetter’s All Abilities touch football players have run onto the grounds of Carrington Park as part of the Penrith Panthers annual Bathurst home game, and on Saturday night they did it again.
It was a wet and windy night, and lesser teams might have chosen to sit it out on the bench, but not the LiveBetter Storm and Lightning teams. They ran onto field to battle it out in front of 11,000 spectators and immune to the wind and the rain they played like the sporting heroes of old.
What a game! What a night!
It might have been wet, but it was no wash out, and the game was fiercely fought to the end. There were some brilliant plays from Chayse and Tamaiti while Hunter and Bill put in a strong showing. But there can only be one winner and on Saturday night the game ended 4-3 in the Storms favour. Well done LiveBetter Storm!
As our players exited the field you could hear the crowd roar and emotions ran high. It may have been a cold and wet night, but both teams were basking in the warm glow of a game well played, and those fierce on field adversaries shook hands and were friends and comrades once more.
