Child Safe Statement of Commitment
Everyone at LiveBetter commits to safeguarding children’s rights by providing an engaging culture and safe environment. This commitment is enshrined in our organisational values of Integrity, Cooperation, Empowerment, Respect and Excellence that endeavours to give each child the ability to reach their full potential.
As an organisation, our systems and values are designed to empower and protect all children and young persons in our services. We set clear standards and professional boundaries to ensure we act with integrity, purpose and with every child and young person’s best interest in all that we do. We believe in open, honest, and transparent communication and we work with children and young people, their families, and their guardians/ advocates to ensure that we continuously improve our systems and services.
All children and young people are encouraged to voice their opinions and to let us know if something is not right or doesn’t feel right for them. We make every effort to employ the right staff with the appropriate skills, knowledge, and background, who are committed to the values of child safety and wellbeing, and we support them with on-going training and education.
LiveBetter takes the utmost care with both the physical and digital environments we provide, as children and young people have a right to feel safe and secure in our services.
We strive to make all children and young people feel welcome and informed of their rights and responsibilities in a manner they can understand and in which they can engage. We will advocate for children and young people to be involved in decisions affecting their care and that of their peers, as well as in how we reshape LiveBetter so that our care of children and young people is of highest priority. We will be transparent with the community about how we operate as a child safe organisation.
LiveBetter will not accept any behaviour that fails to meet these ideals.
