Caring for your Buraay provides a range of mentoring groups and social activities where you and your family can connect with other Aboriginal families, make new friends, share your knowledge and learn from others.

We offer a range of culturally appropriate parent education opportunities designed to build on your existing parenting skills and provide a safe space where you can connect with other Aboriginal parents and carers.
Indigenous Advocacy and Support
Your child or teenager can access a range of culturally appropriate advocacy and support opportunities including after school care and activities, peer groups for girls, and transition to high school support.

Caring for your Buraay is a free program that works alongside Aboriginal families in Dubbo with children under 16 years old, promoting each person and family’s strengths, connecting them to culture, and working with them to build the skills and capacities needed for life.
We work alongside key community stakeholders to support Aboriginal families to build on their skills and capacities through a range of programs including:
- playgroups,
- parenting programs,
- mentoring opportunities,
- advocacy,
- information and referral, and
- culturally safe events and activities.
