Building a love of learning

We know children’s earliest and most powerful love of learning comes from their family.

HIPPY’s fun and free education program will help you gain the skills and confidence you need to support your child’s early learning journey, laying the foundations for success at school and a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

HIPPY supports you and your child

Be your child’s first teacher

Over two years, HIPPY will work alongside you as you guide your child’s early learning experiences and prepare them for a successful transition to school.

Play together

As you learn and play together, your child will develop literacy, numeracy, and physical skills, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Activity packs

You and your child will work through packs of play-based, educational activities, bringing learning into your child’s everyday life.

Everywhere learning

HIPPY will support you to shape your child’s learning opportunities around their strengths and interests. You’ll be encouraged to complete activities in everyday situations and places and to invite other family members to get involved.

Peer-to-peer learning

You and your family will be supported by a parent (mentor) who has already completed or is currently completing the program. Your mentor will schedule regular weekly or fortnightly visits, working alongside you and helping you to understand how your child learns, and how you can create a positive learning environment at home.

Fortnightly gatherings

HIPPY brings families together with fortnightly group gatherings where you can connect, share and learn in a safe and supported environment. You’ll build relationships, learn from one another, and share your knowledge and experiences.
