LiveBetter Community Transport keeps Tenterfield locals moving
LiveBetter has stepped up to the plate in Tenterfield after the local taxi service ceased operations, ensuring that individuals can access services in the community with ease and helping to address transport barriers in regional areas.
It is well documented that people living regionally can experience transport disadvantage, and the stress and anxiety experienced by many to get to appointments and the shops is very real. With this development, the question “But who is going to take me?” has become obsolete!
Tenterfield locals can now access reliable and consistent transport. This allows them to do their shopping, run errands and attend social and community events throughout the week. Customers can experience safety and security every time they travel, with dedicated LiveBetter volunteer drivers committed to getting people from Point A to B safely.
The daily shuttle service is running Monday to Friday from 9am to 4pm, and due to customer demand, has increased shopping services.
The dedicated shopping service will now run on a set schedule on Thursdays, collecting individuals from their home, taking them to the supermarket and returning them (and their shopping!) home once they have finished.
Staff at the Tenterfield Office are already hearing positive feedback, with one customer giving all volunteer drivers a Chocolate Easter Bunny to say thank you for the help!
Like all LiveBetter Community Transport services, this new Tenterfield service will be safe, reliable and helpful, allowing people to continue living independent lives. The door-to-door service will take the stress out of travelling and our highly trained drivers will assist travellers at every point on the journey, including getting in and out of vehicles.
LiveBetter will run these additional community transport services for the remainder of April. This will be revisited at the end of the month, dependent on a new taxi service.

Want to book a seat on the bus? Daily shuttle services will be running between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, with a flat fee of $5 per trip.
Plus, we will be running a shuttle on ANZAC Day for our veterans! Bookings required.
