The Australian Government has today announced that the new Aged Care Act will now begin on 1 November 2025. This means the Support at Home program will also launch on the same date.
This extra time will give you the time to better understand the changes, so you can prepare and make informed decisions. Importantly, you will continue to receive the safe, quality care you deserve, with existing programs including the Commonwealth Home Support Programme, Short-Term Restorative Care program, and Home Care Packages programs set to continue as usual until Support at Home commences in November.
