Customer Update – What’s happening with services in NSW?

Dear LiveBetter Client and Families,

As you would be aware, it was announced yesterday that parts of regional NSW currently deemed low risk and which have seen zero COVID cases for at least 14 days will emerge from lockdown on Saturday 11 September. This includes areas on the Mid-North Coast and Riverina Murray. While this is very welcome news for these regions, there will continue to be a range of restrictions to ensure the safety of these communities.

What this means for your services
LiveBetter is currently waiting for advice from NSW Health and the NDIS Commission that explains what these revised restrictions mean for how we can safely reopen our services to you. There will be limits on how many people can be supported in a group, both indoors and outdoors, and there may be restrictions on where we can go. There will also be continued requirements around the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Once we have this advice, we will work quickly to prepare for services to reopen, but it is very important that we do this carefully. Our priority is maintaining the safety of our customers, families and staff. We also need to be prepared to respond quickly if lockdown is reinstated, in the event that a new positive case is identified in any of these regions.

We will keep you informed as we work through our preparations. We are excited to be able to reinstate services to you and we are working to do that as quickly and safely as possible.
