Dear LiveBetter Customers and Families,

Unfortunately the COVID-19 outbreak continues in parts of Victoria and NSW. As always, our number one priority is to safeguard our clients and their support staff, whether they are an older person, living with a disability or a resident in one of our Support Independent Living homes.

New requirements

The NSW Health Department has issued a very strong recommendation for people in NSW to wear face masks in certain situations. As we wish to deliver the highest standard of care, we will be following this recommendation and requiring all frontline staff to wear a mask where physical distancing is not possible. This includes:

  • All Disability Support Workers
  • All Aged Home Care Workers
  • All Transport Drivers

These new requirements are in addition to a range of COVID-19 precautions already in place.

We understand that some customers may find it confronting to see our staff wearing masks and we will do everything that we can to minimise your concerns.

What to do if you suspect you are unwell

If you are feeling unwell and think you have symptoms of COVID-19, you should call your GP or the Coronavirus Health Information Line 1800 020 080.  Symptoms include fever, coughing, sore throat, fatigue, and shortness of breath.
