Who would have thought a game of League Tag could teach skills that go beyond fitness?
Well it does…. and the recent annual Building Kinnections National Disability League Tag Knockout event held in Dubbo has done that and so much more.
Registered NDIS provider, LiveBetter Community Services, has proudly supported the Building Kinnections National Disability League Tag Knockout event for the past two years and had forty customers attend the event with the assistance of their LiveBetter disability support workers.
Disability League Tag is all about personal growth with players uniting as a team to reach their full potential. It helps develop self-determination to reach on-field and personal goals. The ongoing aim of the Building Kinnections National Disability League Tag Knockout event is to shine the light on community growth and to enable participants to connect with members of the community.
We were thrilled to be involved in such a special event by both assisting and participating on the day. As always, LiveBetter staff and volunteers adhere to our values and purpose when interacting with clients and the community.
LiveBetter’s Aboriginal Community Transport Relationship Development Coordinator, Sharlene Wright, assisted with the organisation and said it was a memorable day.
“I would like to give special thanks to all Building Kinnections staff involved which allowed LiveBetter customers to enjoy such an amazing, memorable event. See you all next year!”
